Size and capacity
Approximately 5" wide by 7" tall. Holds the ashes of a companion up to about 85 lbs.
Suitable for dogs, cats and other pets. Most cats and smaller pets use only a portion of the interior, which leaves room for a collar, a tag, a favorite toy or a lock of fur alongside them.
The opening measures 3 7/8 inches across, narrowing to about 2.9 by 2.3 inches of clear passage at the three posts. Most crematory bags flatten and pass through as they are. Two sealable pouches are included for the ones that don't.

Materials and care
Natural stone, finished and sealed by hand, set on a solid brass base. Each stone is one of a kind, so the color and veining of yours will be unique.
Solid stone is considerably tougher than ceramic or glass and won't shatter. It isn't indestructible, and a fall onto tile or concrete could chip it. It weighs about six pounds, so on a shelf or mantel it's very sturdy, but treat it as you would anything heavy.
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Keep it out of standing water. The brass may deepen in tone over time, which is natural to the material.
What's included
Your finished stone vessel, the brass base and lid, a microfiber sleeve (it protects the vessel in transit, and doubles as your cleaning cloth), two sealable pouches for the ashes, and a velvet pouch for keepsakes like a collar or tags. A printed card walks you through placing them inside, step by step, including how the lid closes. Everything arrives packed to protect it, ready to keep close.

I finish every vessel myself. The stone is cut, sanded, polished, and sealed by hand, then set on a brass base I chose because it lasts and it warms with age. It takes time, and it means no two are ever identical. That is the point. Your companion was one of a kind, so the piece that holds them should be too.

Speechless. That's the first word that comes to mind when I think my experience with Kapla Art. Not only was I immediately drawn to the one of a kind, stunningly beautiful works of art that John creates, but I was drawn to the meaning behind why he created them to begin with. I was looking for something that perfectly represented my best friend of 11 years, Cleo, that wasn't generic because she wasn't. She was (and is) the most special being to me and I couldn't bring myself to have her final resting place be something that didn't perfectly represent her: captivating, unique, radiant, and above all, irreplaceable. I reached out to John and gave him a quick background of how we found each other and a little about who she was (that was much longer than I anticipated - sorry John). He understood my pain and gave me the feeling of receiving the tightest, invisible hug through his words and that's when I knew that Cleo would be safe here. He sent me a video of the vessels he currently had to show me how the light reflected on and through the stones because pictures couldn't show that, and he was right. They were more beautiful than I imagined and I chose the one that felt the most like my Cleo. John sent me renders of how the engraved bottom would look and allowed me to make any adjustments to size and text until it was perfect. Once he was able to engrave it, I received my KaplaArt package about a week later. This vessel surpassed any and all of my expectations. I couldn't wait to transfer Cleo shortly after receiving this beautiful work of art because I wanted her to finally rest where she belonged. Thanks to John and his unbelievable craftsmanship, I now look at her and smile because I feel at peace. I feel at peace because this stone vessel does my girl justice. It is perfectly unique and beautiful and a work of art that I will always have on display for as long as I live. I am beyond grateful for John's creativity and heart to make something so stunningly special that I will cherish forever.

Just recently got one of these and I honestly couldn’t love it more. The vessel itself is absolutely beautiful — the stone makes it look like a piece of decor rather than something you feel like you need to tuck away. I love how different this is from the typical wooden boxes. Those always felt a little heavy and not something I wanted out on display. This is something you actually want to keep in your space. It blends in, while still honoring your pet in such a special way. It feels like a more peaceful, comforting way to keep them close, instead of something that reminds you of loss.

This vessel feels like such a high honor to memorialize my late cat, Erwin. Subtle yet beautiful, the vessel rests prominently on one of our mantels. The vessel is large enough to hold both the remains and a couple small keepsakes allowing Erwin a few of his personal treasures with him in his final resting place.
